Calls for Service

The Washington Township Fire Department responds to a wide variety of emergency incidents throughout the community. Annual calls for service are categorized as total calls, EMS calls, and fire and other calls.

Fire Code Compliance Safety Inspections

The Fire Department also ensures compliance with the fire code. In 2025, the Fire Prevention Bureau fire inspectors conducted 1,927 fire safety inspections. The inspections included fire protection systems installations, new construction inspections, ongoing compliance inspections of existing commercial occupancies, re-inspections, and home safety inspections. Of the total inspections completed, 393 were new construction inspections, 39 were special event inspections, 466 were plan reviews, and 26 were fire investigations.
